24.11.2026        SYMPOSIUM

MSNZ-Hamburg Symposium - Martini-Klinik

We warmly invite you to the MSNZ Hamburg Symposium “Translational Progress in Advanced Prostate Cancer” on November 24, 2026, 9 am-5:30 pm at the Martini-Klinik, University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE).

The symposium will bring together researchers, clinicians, early-career scientists and patients to explore current developments in prostate cancer research and treatment—and discuss the opportunities and challenges of translating innovation into clinical care.

Programme highlights include:

  • Lineage plasticity and therapy resistance, with a keynote by Prof. Amina Zoubeidi (Vancouver Prostate Centre, Canada).
  • Precision oncology and liquid biopsy, including patient-derived organoids, novel biomarkers and a keynote by Prof. Francesca Demichelis (University of Trento, Italy).
  • Innovations in prostate cancer surgery, with a keynote by Prof. Tobias Maurer (Martini-Klinik, Hamburg) and a VR demonstration.
  • “From Research to Reality – What Do Patients Really Need?”, a panel discussion with patients, led by Prof. Gunhild von Amsberg, connecting scientific advances with patients’ experiences and priorities.
The programme also features talks by Early and Mid Career Researchers from Hamburg and other MSNZ sites, as well as scientific panel discussions. An interactive Meet-the-Speakers breakfast for our Early Career Researchers offers an opportunity to exchange ideas with the invited speakers in an informal setting.

Whether your work focuses on prostate cancer or on broader questions of tumour biology, treatment resistance, biomarkers or translational oncology, we invite you to join the discussion and connect with colleagues across disciplines.
