Apply now for the PhD Program of the Hamburg School of Infection & Immunity (HSII) starting in October 2026 in Hamburg.

HSII offers outstanding doctoral training in the fields of infection, immunity, and inflammation within a highly collaborative research environment at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE).

The three-year program combines fully funded research projects, a structured curriculum, and excellent training opportunities in scientific skills, interdisciplinary methods, seminars, retreats, and symposia. It is closely connected to major collaborative research initiatives and the Hamburg Center for Translational Immunology (HCTI).

We are looking for highly motivated applicants with an above-average MSc degree or equivalent, a strong interest in infection, immunity, and inflammation, and enthusiasm for team-based interdisciplinary research.
