UKE Core Facilities

Objective Target

Central research facilities at the UKE, so-called "Core Facilities", offer all members of the Medical Faculty (and external users by special request) access to complex technology and equipment as a service. Therefore, expensive large equipment as key technologies and state-of-the-art methods are available for all researchers - resources are concentrated and effectivity in research can be increased.

Inquiries to the Core Facilities will be handled by experienced researchers and technical staff running the facilities. On a regular basis or on demand, Core Facilities offer workshops and seminars regarding techniques and equipment available. Moreover, researchers, PhD-, and other students are introduced into the correct handling of the devices and they can learn key techniques.

As techniques, equipment, and scientific requirements are constantly developing, the Core Facilities at the UKE campus are equally designed as advancing institutions.
