Causal Machine Learning with Double Machine Learning: An Introduction and Recent Developments with focus on Medicine and Health Care
The new field of Causal Machine Learning combines causal inference with modern methods of machine learning to estimate treatment effects in complex settings.
In this talk an introduction into the so-called Debiased/ Double Machine Learning approach is given and potential applications in the field of Medicine and Health Care are discussed. Finally, recent developments are presented.
The DoubleML package ( docs.doubleml.org ) provides a software implementation and will also be discussed.
