The oncological senior physician of the II. Medical Clinic on duty is responsible for hematological and oncological issues. In case of emergency, he can be reached 24 hours a day via the central phone number +49 (0) 40 7410 - 0.

Outpatient and Inpatient Care for Patients with Statutory Health Insurance

More detailed information and contacts can be found under Admissions . You are also welcome to present your patient directly to the oncological senior physician on duty by calling +49 (0) 40 7410 - 0. After receiving an appointment by phone, your patients should go to central admissions in the New Building (Ost 10) towards the back on the right side with a referral and physician’s reports.

Laboratory Diagnostics for Hematology and Oncology

The cytological diagnosis of peripheral blood images, bone marrow aspirate, flow cytometry - (FACS analysis) and cytogenetics belong to the central components of our hematology / oncology - laboratory diagnostics.

Clinical Trials

In the II. Medical Clinic, we recruit in more that 60 open study protocols for all significant hematological and oncological diseases. On the website of the Oncology Clinical Trials Center , you will find detailed information about more than 100 available study protocols and contacts of the University Cancer Center Hamburg. We would be happy to help you with the search for an appropriate clinical trial for your patients by phone +49 (0) 40 7410 - 56305 or by e-mail to the Head of Clinical Trials, PD Dr. Andreas Block block@uke.de .

Video-conference based tumor boards

The II. Medical Clinic, together with other clinics of the University Cancer Center Hamburg, has established a weekly video conference with its network partners. During this tumor board, interdisciplinary treatment plans for patients outside the UKE are discussed and recommended. Further information can be found on the UCCH website.
