The Central Medical Library (ÄZB) is the central specialized library of the University of Hamburg's Faculty of Medicine and thus a key partner in research and teaching.

It provides students, medical professionals, scientists, and employees of the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf with printed and electronic media. As part of the University of Hamburg library system (UHH), the ÄZB is also open to the interested public.

The ÄZB offers access to more than 300,000 print media, including 24,000 in the textbook collection, as well as 58,000 e-books, 50,000 e-journals, and numerous databases.
