Teaching Global and Public Health Essentials
Description: The course, "Global Public Health Essentials: From the Local to the Global," was developed with funding from the European University Alliance for Global Health (EUGLOH). It is open to all students at EUGLOH partner universities across Europe.
Through an active, student-centered approach, the course introduces students to fundamental concepts and key topics in global and public health. Students also learn to apply their knowledge through practical exercises, quizzes, and digital games.

Topics: The course is divided into three parts: (i) Methods, (ii) Topics, and (iii) Practice in Global and Public Health. Various fundamental concepts and focal points are covered.
Scope: It consists of 30 hours of online material and synchronous sessions, as well as around 60 hours of self-study and game-based learning. In total, the course requires approximately 90 hours of work (3 ECTS credits). Credit points are awarded for the non-medicine Ph.D. program at UKE.
