Offer of support for UKE-Members
There are different kinds of counselling services for researchers at the UKE, i.e. statistical consultation with appointment (~1h), consulting without appointment for short questions (~15 min.), assisted computational analysis, and software courses.
We do this as part of the consultation
- Assistance with submitting applications to public third-party funders and authorities (e.g. ethics committee)
- Support in study planning (e.g. choice of endpoints, choice of study design)
- Advice on the creation of an analyse concept
- Sample size planning
- Questions about data management
- Help with the selection of suitable statistical methods
- Help interpreting the results
- Support in the publication of the results (with participation in the publication if the institute makes a substantial contribution)
Note: Unfortunately, we cannot analyze the data as part of statistical consultation. However, the assumption of statistical analyzes and biometric project support can take place within the framework of separate cooperation agreements.
Plase note: In the context of medical doctoral theses, we are generally unable to provide any services that go beyond the normal range of advisory services, as the doctoral student's own scientific contribution must be preserved.
Important: For data protection reasons, please never give us tables with personal data (name, contact details) of your test persons/patients in the context of the consultation or a cooperation.
