Health and Participatory Research

  • Description
  • Description

Main topics of our research group "Health and Participatory Research" lie in the area of health services, health psychology and rehabilitation research.

These include the study of the interaction of contextual (eg, working environment) as well as individual factors (eg, illness representations and coping with a disease), health services use and the success of treatment. Another focus is the development of strategies for the use of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) in psychosomatic inpatient rehabilitation.

A central place in the research is the active and participatory involvement of patients.

We developed a training which provides the opportunity to pass research competencies to participants and to enable them to contribute to research projects in a meaningful way.
