The final stage of our interdisciplinary treatment concept is the aftercare.

The long-term success of the treatment depends very much on a continual and thorough aftercare program. We ensure the close cooperation of all physicians and diet specialists monitoring each case. Your nutritional status and accompanying medical conditions will be regularly monitored.

In the 12 months following the operation there are routine check-ups after 2 weeks, then in 3 month intervals. If the first 12 months are deemed a success then we proceed with check-ups every 6 months. These appointments and check-ups are carried out in close coordination with your local physician.

Along with the standardized follow-up programs, if necessary, the patient will be able to access the full range of medical care on offer at the University Clinic Hamburg-Eppendorf.
