Institute of Medical Systems Biology
(in the process of establishment)
The Institute of Medical Systems Biology is established at the Center for Molecular Neurobiology Hamburg (ZMNH) under the direction of Prof. Dr. Stefan Bonn in August 2017.
“We are drowning in information but starved for knowledge” - John Naisbitt
The prime focus of the institute is to understand human pathology, especially in the central nervous system. To this end we integrate and curate 'big' biomedical data using automated systems and extract disease-relevant information using statistical and machine learning approaches. We then use the insights we have gained to understand, predict, and potentially cure human malady.
