Männerschnupfen – Märchen oder Wahrheit?
Windschirm Bar, Hallerplatz 8, 20146 Hamburg | Rotherbaum
Prof. Dr. med. Marcus Altfeld

Sex Differences in the Immune System
3rd Biennial Meeting
At Trinity College Dublin
Understanding sex differences in the immune system is critical and requires dedicated intellectual efforts in order to advance. This meeting aims to promote and develop these efforts in the pursuit of identifying responsible mechanisms for sex differences in immune health. We believe that harnessing basic biological, evolutionary, and genomic interdisciplinary approaches will be key to fully comprehend sex differences in the immune system and improve targeted immunotherapies in all humans.

Prof. Petter Brodin:
Human immune system variation
Petter Brodin is Professor in Pediatric Immunology and the director of the National Mass Cytometry Facility at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm. His main research interest is in the mechanisms of human immune system variation in health and disease and its development. His laboratory uses novel high-dimensional methods working at single-cell resolution to study how different factors, e.g. infections, environmental exposures and sex, affect the immune system – especially in early life.
Due to corona restrictions, the seminar will take place online. Please find below the link to the Zoom meeting.
