A/Prof. Boris Novakovic is an Australian molecular biologist and epigenetics researcher at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and the University of Melbourne. He leads a research team focused on how environmental exposures, vaccines, and hormones shape the immune system through epigenetic mechanisms. His work is especially known in the field of trained immunity, where he has helped explain how innate immune cells can develop a form of memory after infection or stimulation.
