Description of Workpackage 13

NABARE: Writing the National Background Reports (Pan-European Group)

Objectives

Each of the 23 countries involved will produce a NABARE of about 30 pages. The production of the pan- European NABAREs will be co-ordinated and monitored by the co-ordination centre.

Methodolody and study materials

While the 17 further pan-European partners produce their NABAREs, the 6 core group countries may have to update their own ones. In each country of the pan-European group we already have contacted experienced institutions and researchers with significant expertise in the area of family care and society research. All these have expressed their interest, wish and agreement to participate. A huge diversity both in the availability of data and existing knowledge as well as in the national structure of services provided, their characteristics, coverage and usage is to be expected. Thus researchers will be urged to suggest explanations concerning unmet categories of need and to report on any special features not fitting with the STEP.

The CO is responsible for the main co-ordination of the NABAREs and for passing them forward to Greece in time (month 16).
