At UCC Hamburg, we follow a holistic approach to cancer treatment and offer a wide range of exercise and physical activity programs.
At UCC Hamburg, we offer a wide range of exercise and physical activity programs that can be taken alongside therapy and during follow-up care.
In addition to sports therapy with regular monitoring of muscle mass and cardiovascular fitness, we also collaborate with local sports clubs.
For follow-up after curative chemotherapy, as well as for patients in curative or palliative treatment undergoing ongoing chemotherapy or in therapy-free intervals, we provide a versatile training program with professional guidance and supervision.
To find the program that best suits each individual, all offerings are coordinated by our team of exercise scientists. During a consultation, individual needs and goals are assessed.

Since 2021, the ActiveOncoKids North center, with locations in Hamburg, Lübeck, Kiel, and Sylt, has been hosting trial days for various sports for children and adolescents in follow-up care and maintenance therapy. In Hamburg, the events are regularly held at the St. Pauli club for soccer, at the Norddeutscher Regatta Verein for sailing on the Alster, and for horseback riding at Gärtnerhof am Stüffel e.V.
Former pediatric cancer patients and their siblings are warmly invited to participate. Attendance is free, but registration is requested. Current dates can be found in the event calendar. LINK

Rowing Against Cancer is a charity regatta initiated by the Stiftung Leben mit Krebs and was first held in 2005 in Mainz. Its goal is to provide medically supervised sports and exercise therapies for cancer patients that would otherwise be difficult to fund.
In Hamburg, the charity regatta takes place once a year on the Außenalster and is one of the highlights of our annual calendar. LINK
