Complementary Medicine
In our effort to improve the well-being and quality of life of those affected, complementary medicine is an important component of our holistic oncology treatment approach. At UCC Hamburg, we offer complementary medicine consultations for patients, as well as studies and medical training programs.
In Short
Complementary medicine complements conventional cancer therapy with the goal of improving quality of life, alleviating symptoms, and promoting overall well-being.
Many patients with cancer have questions that go beyond the “standard” treatment of their tumor and associated symptoms, such as options for mistletoe therapy, specific diets, lifestyle therapies, or homeopathic treatments.
The complementary medicine consultation at UCC Hamburg aims to develop an individualized therapy plan that integrates naturopathy with oncology treatment. Objective data from scientific research is considered, as well as subjective individual healing factors, to create a feasible and promising overall concept. This approach is intended to provide more holistic care for cancer patients.
In addition to our care services, various studies on complementary medicine are conducted.
