Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH) is a rare immune system disorder. In this condition, certain immune cells called Langerhans cells multiply uncontrollably and can cause inflammation or tissue damage in various organs.
The course of the disease can vary greatly—from a single, harmless lesion to a severe form involving multiple organs. For example, it can affect bones, skin, or internal organs such as the liver, spleen, lungs, or the blood and bone marrow system.
At our LCH consultation clinic at the University Cancer Center Hamburg (UCC Hamburg), adults with suspected LCH or a confirmed diagnosis can seek specialized evaluation and care.
