The Hubertus Wald Tumor Center – University Cancer Center Hamburg (UCC Hamburg) provides a central point of contact for people with newly diagnosed cancer or a suspected diagnosis. In interdisciplinary consultations, patients and their caregivers receive prompt and straightforward initial support as well as appropriate treatment.
It is often unclear who to turn to when there is a suspicion of cancer, a new cancer diagnosis, or a need for a second opinion. The Central Entry Point at UCC Hamburg offers various interdisciplinary consultations as an initial point of contact. Usually, you will receive an appointment for your first consultation within a few days.
The Hubertus Wald Tumor Center – University Cancer Center Hamburg (UCC Hamburg) is the organizational unit that brings together all clinics and institutes at UKE involved in the diagnosis, treatment, and research of tumors, uniting all areas of oncology in both inpatient and outpatient care. This ensures that patients and their caregivers receive interdisciplinary care from the very beginning.

For physicians:
For common types of cancer, there are specialized organ-specific cancer centers that focus on particular cancers. These centers concentrate expert knowledge and ensure coordinated care for patients. The University Cancer Center Hamburg (UCC Hamburg) serves as the overarching structure, providing efficient networking and easy access to all cancer-related services at UKE.
If you are unsure which center is right for you, simply contact the Central Entry Point at UCC Hamburg. We will coordinate your request and direct you to the appropriate department within the hospital.
In addition to the Central Entry Point, the Oncology Outpatient Clinic in Building East 24 on the UKE campus provides diagnostic procedures, treatment, and follow-up care plans.
The clinic includes a registration and waiting area, six treatment rooms with 28 therapy stations, and an additional six beds for outpatient therapy.
