Biospecimen for Cancer Research
The biobank collects and manages tissue and blood samples from cancer patients. These assist researchers in discovering new ways to diagnose and treat cancer.
The biobank at the University Cancer Center Hamburg (UCC Hamburg) is used for oncology research at the UKE. In addition, the UCC Hamburg Biobank offers researchers services such as project planning, sample logistics, and sample processing. These processes are standardized and audited. The SOPs of the UCC Hamburg Biobank are available on the intranet in the QM manual.
