Olga Schweigert is a postdoctoral researcher leading a specific project investigating molecular mechanisms in the pathophysiology of hypertension by integrating epidemiological and genetic data with biochemical, molecular and animal experiments. She is a biologist with extensive experience in biomolecular sciences and her research focuses particularly on inflammation in cardiovascular diseases, hypertension and vascular function. Olga's project "Contribution of blood pressure related gene CRIP1 on pathology and progression of hypertension" is funded by the DZHK Promotion of women scientists grant.
