8th International Meeting on ADMA and Methylarginines
Dear colleagues,
it is our pleasure to announce the 8th International Meeting on ADMA and Methylarginines. The conference will take place on June 29 to July 1, 2017, in Hamburg/Germany.
The meeting will follow a series of bi-annual conferences on ADMA which started in 2002 and which reflected the increasing interest in the biology and medicine of ADMA and related methylarginines in the course of the recent years. It will cover a broad range of topics, from the biochemistry and physiology of methylarginines, genetic regulation of the key enzymes involved in their metabolism, mechanisms of action, to their clinical role as biomarkers of disease and as evolving targets for pharmacotherapeutic intervention. Highlights of the conference will be the discussion of SDMA and homoarginine, two novel molecules of interest. A scientific debate between two of the main leaders of the field will conclude the conference.
Hamburg is the second largest city of Germany. Its harbour is an important “gate to the world”; the city on the water – Hamburg is proud of having more bridges than Venice or Amsterdam – offers many places of interest to visit besides the scientific programme. Make sure to plan for enough time for you to see at least some of them, and visit this website for more information as the conference is getting closer.
We look forward to welcome you in Hamburg!
Rainer H. Böger, Hamburg/Germany (Conference Chair)
James Leiper, London/UK, John P. Cooke, Houston/USA, Steven R. Lentz, Iowa City/USA (Co-Chairs)
