Our wide-ranging research activities are dedicated to the urgent task of finding answers to the most important questions related to cancer development, treatment, diagnosis, and prevention. The research conducted by our interdisciplinary teams focuses on the following areas:
UKE-internal patients can be registered for the Tumor Board via SOARIAN using the corresponding request form labeled “Tumor Board.” Registrations should be entered into the system by 2:00 p.m. on the day before the meeting.
All findings required for the discussion (CT images, pathology reports) must be specified in a dedicated section of the request form to ensure proper preparation by Radiology and Pathology. A written consent form is not required for patients treated at UKE.
The Central Entry Point of the UCC Hamburg, together with its various interdisciplinary clinics, offers an initial point of contact when a new cancer diagnosis is made. Care-providing physicians can also reach out to the Hubertus Wald Tumor Center through the Central Entry Point in this situation.
The University Cancer Center Hamburg (UCC Hamburg) was established as a dedicated organizational unit and network to simplify access to all cancer-related services at the UKE and to integrate the individual care structures of our organ-specific cancer centers.
These organ cancer centers each focus on a specific category of cancer - they are organized by disease type and form the foundation of interdisciplinary cancer care at UCC Hamburg.
UCC Hamburg sees itself as a network of expertise, consisting of a consortium of centers, clinics, oncology practices, research partners, and other partner institutions. Together, we aim to give substance to the concept of a “Comprehensive Cancer Center” and to provide modern oncology care across the Hamburg metropolitan region.
