Autoimmune liver disease
Autoimmune liver diseases occur when the immune system attacks the liver in the absence of infection.
Depending
on the liver structure affected, autoimmune liver disease manifests as
autoimmune hepatitis (AIH), primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC) or primary
sclerosing cholangitis (PSC).
