The Department

The Department and Clinic of Pediatric Surgery of the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf are merged with the Department of Pediatric Surgery of the Altona’s Children Hospital. Under the direction of Dr. K. Wenke our team is in charge of children with surgical questions in the UKE’s wards of

- Paediatrics
- Cardiovascular Surgery
- Paediatric Oncology and
- Fetal Medicine.

The Department of Pediatric Surgery with surgical wards and surgical emergency outpatient clinic is localized on the area of the Altona’s Children Hospital in Hamburg.
Working together with all involved specialties we offer the best possible surgical therapy for children with congenital malformations, tumours or thoracic and abdominal diseases. Our clinic also includes an Outpatient Surgery Unit and provides minimal invasive surgery.

Clinic

We offer a clinic for special questions in Pediatric Surgery, for planning Outpatient Surgery (hernia, undescended testicle, umbilical hernia, epigastric hernia, phimosis, skin and hypodermis growths, small skin tumours, and more) and for the follow-up care of our UKE patients. Appointments can be arranged at 0049 – 40 – 689899945.

Other clinics for Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric traumatology and minimal invasive surgery are localized in the Altona’s Children Hospital.

Emergency

The Emergency Pediatric Surgery Outpatient Clinic is also localized in the Altona’s Children Hospital.
