Information for the patient
Welcome to the Homepage of the Clinic and Policlinic for Hepatobiliary Surgery and Visceral Transplantation of the Transplantation Center of the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf. On these pages we would like to introduce our clinical as well as our scientific focus. The Clinic and Policlinic for Hepatobiliary Surgery and Visceral Transplantation exists since April 1, 1998 and includes the Out-Patient Clinic as well as the Ward C8 and an Office for private patients. The patients are first seen in the out-patient clinic. The appointments are made by phone. Should you have any questions regarding operations or illnesses or need information of any kind, this is the way to contact us. The nursing care has been optimized (primary nurse). We try to organize it in a way that one nurse looks after the same group of patients over a longer period. Each patient receives an individual care-plan, especially worked out for him, with great importance to involve patient and family actively into the healing/caring-process.
