Neuroimage Nord (NIN)
NeuroImage Nord (NIN) is a centre for imaging in the clinical neurosciences which
comprises researchers of the university hospitals
Universitätsklinikum
Hamburg-Ependorf (UKE) and
Universitätsklinikum
Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH). The centre is situated on the UKE campus
in Hamburg as part of the Center of Clinical Neurosciences.
NeuroImage Nord is provided in part by the
Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) for staff,
facilities, and infrastructure. In the context of an initiative of the
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG)
the centre could acquire a whole body MR system operating at 3 Tesla
main field strength.
The UKE provides further funding for personnel. A number of projects of
the individual work groups within the centre receive additional funding
by various funding institutions, in particular by Deutsche
Forschungsgemeinschaft and Volkswagenstiftung. Running costs and basic
infrastructure is brought about by the three university hospitals.
