Virtual Preparation and Atlas Building of Brain and Heart of the Visible Korean Human
Abstract
The Visible Korean Human (VKH) dataset opens up new possibilities and challenges
for computer supported visualization and inspection of three-dimensional
anatomical structures. With the help of the VOXEL-MAN software developed at the
IMI the two-dimensional semiautomatic segmentation currently done will
be improved and the resulting three-dimmensional visualization will be used
as a base for a VOXEL-MAN 3D-Navigator Atlas of the brain and the heart of the VKH.
First results show an improved three-dimmensional visualization of the skull: Original (top), voxels removed for enhancement marked in green (middle), result (bottom):
