The research section for Medical Sociology analyses the effects different social factors have on health and illness and on the health care of middle-aged and older people. Socio-economic status, social relations and psychosocial workload are among the social factors that are explored. For this, national and international, quantitative and qualitative studies are carried out or utilised.
