Prof. Dr. Hartmut Schlüter, born in 1961, studied Chemistry at the Westfälische-Wilhelms-University of Münster where he received his PhD in Biochemistry in 1991. In 1996, he finalized his habilitation in Pathobiochemistry in the Medical Faculty at the University of Münster. From 1996 to 2000 he was a group leader at the Medical Faculty of the Ruhr-University of Bochum. From 2000 to 2008 he worked as Senior Scientist and since 2005 as head of the Core Facility Protein Analysis at the Charité - University Medicine Berlin. He moved to Hamburg in 2008 as a full professor for Mass Spectrometric Proteome Analysis at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf.
