Zur Suizidalität in der Adoleszenz

Zusammenfassung

Der Selbstmord ist die zweithäufigste Todesursache in der Adoleszenz. Die Autorin gibt eine zusammenfassende Übersicht zu epidemiologischen, klinischen, psychodynamischen und psychotherapeutischen Aspekten der Suizidalität bei Jugendlichen im Kontext der entwicklungs-phasenabhängigen Individuationskrise. Es wird dargelegt, daß das theoretische und therapeutische Verständnis für das Suizid- und Suizidversuchsrisiko in der Adoleszenz vorrangig auf Konflikte im Verlauf des adoleszenten Ablösungsprozesses und der Integration des sexuell reifen Körpers in das Selbst gerichtet ist, unabhängig von der möglichen Manifestation psycho-pathologischer Auffälligkeiten. Drei Zeichnungen jugendlicher Patienten illustrieren den entwicklungsphasentypischen Kontext ihrer Suizidalität.

Summary

Suicide is the second most frequent cause of death in adolescence. The author summarizes an overview of the epidemologic, clinical, psychodynamic, and psychotherapeutical aspects of suicide in adolescence within the context of the individuation crisis in that particular development stage. The theoretic and therapeutic understanding for the suicidal risk in adolescence is focused on conflicts in the course of adolescent individuation and the integration of the sexually mature body in the self independently of the possible manifestation of psychopathologic phenomena. Three drawings of adolescent patients illustrate the context of their suicidal tendencies typical for their development stage.
