Objectives
What are the physiological and pathophysiological roles of HCN channels in
adult mice?
Specific goals:
- to prevent the embryonic lethality observed after deletion of the HCN4 gene
- to discriminate between the physiological consequences of an acute elimination of HCN channels and the complex changes due to tissue plasticity induced by a chronic elimination of functional HCN channels
- to discriminate between the effects of a complete loss of HCN channel function and a selective loss of its physiological regulation
